An Act making Allowance for taking the Census for the Year 1820, 1821

Approved January 13, 1821.

[Sect.1.] Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly. That the following sums shall be allowed to the different County commissioners for taking the census of this stare for the year one thousand eight hundred and twenty, to wit : to the commissioner of Madison county, one hundred and seventy-one dollars: to the commissioner of St. Clair county, one hundred and five dollars: to the commissioner of Bond county, fifty-nine dollars : to the commissioner of Washington county, fifty dollars and fifty cents: to the commissioner of Monroe county, forty-three dollars and fifty cents : to the commissioner of Randolph county, seventy one dollars: to the commissioner of Franklin county, fifty dollars : to the commissioner of Union county, fifty dollars : to the commissioner of Jackson county, forty-five dollars: to the commissioner of Alexander county, thirty dollars ; provided the commissioner shall make his return of the census before the representation of each county shall be apportioned: to the commissioner of Johnson county, thirty dollars: to the commissioner of Pope county, fifty-five dollars: to the commissioner of Gallatin county, sixty nine dollars: to the commissioner of White county, ninety-five dollars : to the commissioner of Jefferson county, thirty dollars: to the commissioner of Edwards county, sixty-seven dollars ; to the commissioner of Wayne county, thirty-seven dollars: to the commissioner of Crawford county, sixty-three dollars : and to the commissioner of Clark county, thirty dollars.

Sect. 2. Be it further enacted, That the said several sums of money above mentioned shall be paid out of any money in the state treasury not otherwise appropriated. This act to be in force from and after the passage thereof.
