An Act for the relief of persons taking additional census for the late territory of Illinois, 1819

Approved, March 30,1819,

Whereas by an act of the late territory of Illinois, passed on the tenth day of January, eighteen hundred and eighteen, provision is made to pay any additional service in taking the census between the first day of June and December in that year ; and whereas additional service has been done :— Therefore,

[Sect. 1.] Be it enacted by the people of the state of Illinois represented in the general assembly, That there shall be paid to the person or his legal representatives, for taking the additional census for the county of Washington, the sum of twenty dollars.; to the.person or his legal representatives, for taking the additional census for the county of Madison, the sum of thirty dollars ; to the person or his legal representatives, for taking the additional census for the county of St. Clair, the sum of thirty dollars; to the person or his legal representatives, for taking the additional census for the county of Monroe, the sum of twenty dollars ; to the person or his legal representatives, for taking the additional census for the county of Randolph, the sum of twenty dollars; to the person or his legal representatives, for taking the additional census for the county of Jackson, the sum of twenty dollars ; to the person or his legal representatives, for taking the additional census for the county of Union, the sum of twenty dollars; to the person or his legal representatives, for taking the additional census for the county of Franklin, the sum of five dollars; to the person or his legal representatives, for taking the additional census for the county of Gallatin, the sum of thirty dollars ; to the person or his legal representatives, for taking the additional census for the county of White, the sum of twenty-five dollars ; to the parson or his legal representatives, for taking the additional census for the county of Crawford, the sum of twenty five dollars; to the person or his legal representatives, for taking the additional census for the county of Pope, the sum of twenty dollars.

Sect. 2. And be it further enacted, That the said several sums of money above mentioned, shall be paid out of any money in the state treasury, not otherwise appropriated.

This act to be in force from and after the passage thereof.

This act was reported to the council as having passed by a constitutional majority of both houses.
